Shaare Torah Interim Rabbi Search 2024

April 4, 2024

The Interim Rabbi Search Team has been actively pursuing candidates for Shaare Torah since March 15, 2024. Since that time, the team has posted the job description on multiple sites both within the Conservative Masorti Movement as well as outside (with the understanding that any new hire would follow our halachic regulations).

We have been pleased with the amount of interest in our congregation and are actively interviewing candidates at this time. Below is a dashboard that captures a broad overview of our candidates so far. Our application will remain open until a final decision has been made.

Our hope is to have a recommendation for a candidate by the middle to end of April. At that time, the candidate will be brought forward for an additional interview with the interim rabbi search team, professional staff, executive committee and board of directors for approval. The next step will be to meet the community and vote at the congregational Annual Meeting in late May/early June.

We look forward to bringing you the best candidate for our community at this time. Thank you for placing your trust in us and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
