Justice, Justice You Shall Pursue: A Discussion With Rafi Prober
Join us for a discussion with Rafi Prober, an attorney and friend, about the role he played in the successful pursuit of justice for over 76,000 Jews, and others, who were transported by France’s national, state-owned railway (SNCF) to concentration camps during the Holocaust.
In what became an international campaign that set off a diplomatic crisis in the American and French governments, this campaign was waged in the courtroom, state legislatures (including Maryland), Congress, diplomatic negotiations, corporate boardrooms, and in the courtroom of public opinion. This resulted in an historic 2014 agreement between the United States and France, in which France funded a more than $60 million compensation fund for the victims and their families.
