Family Sponsorship and Gift Wrapping with Sha’arim
Who is Sha’arim? We’re ST’s newest social group—created for adults with older (post-mitzvah) or no kids. Most of us are still working, so we gather in the evenings or on weekends to share good times and build meaningful community.
What’s our next event? For the 2025 holiday season, Sha’arim is adopting a Montgomery County family with four children. We’ll be providing all their Christmas gifts—and we’d love your help!
Two Ways to Participate
- Shop for Gifts – Sign up to purchase one or more items from the family’s wish list, found on this SignUp Genius list.
- Help Wrap at the Sha’arim Wrapping Party Sunday, December 7 at 3:00 PM at ST – We’ll wrap all the gifts together, enjoy snacks, and have sports on TV for anyone who wants to nosh and cheer while they wrap!
Can’t make it on December 7? No problem! You can still participate by dropping off your unwrapped gifts at ST by noon on December 7.
Why Are We Doing This? Let’s be honest: the world could use a little more caring right now. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is show someone they matter. This season, we’re choosing to be the reason a family smiles. It’s not about how much we give—it’s about the love behind it. So let’s spread some light, share some joy, and do a mitzvah that truly pays it forward.
