Matan class for students with special learning needs

The Matan program at Shaare Torah offers a unique opportunity for children with special needs. As the local branch of an award-winning national program for students with special needs, Shaare Torah is proud to offer Matan students an engaging hands-on, multi-sensory Jewish education. Participation in the Matan class promotes social skills development and pride in their Jewish identity. This program is hosted at Shaare Torah but serves as a resource for the entire community.  This is a high quality, absolutely outstanding program with terrific educators who tailor the experience to each student's needs.

Matan is currently accepting applications for children ages 5 and older. Classes are held on Sunday mornings. Small class size, qualified Special Education lead teacher and assistant.  For application information and any other questions about the program, please contact Meredith Polsky, Meredith@matankids.org, or  Allison Colker, acolker@shaaretorah.org.

We also offer mid-week electives to Matan students!  We hope this will help us foster a deeper sense of community among all of our Shaare Torah children in grades 2-7.  The goal of our electives program is to provide deep Jewish learning in a fun and engaging context that involves hands-on multi-disciplinary and multimedia experiences.
