Welcome to the Shaare Torah Community Religious School!
Sundays (Kindergarten-7th Grade):
Kindergarten-6th grade meets at Shaare Torah on Sundays from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. The day includes tefillah, Judaic studies, Hebrew learning, a special chug (elective), and community building time.
7th Grade meets on Sundays all year from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. They meet midweek (either Tuesdays or Wednesdays) through December only.
Mid-Week Program (2nd-7th grade):
Our 3rd-7th grade students join our mid-week program starting at the beginning of the school year. Beginning in January, our 2nd grade students will join our midweek program. Families have the option to choose between Tuesdays or Wednesdays:
Tuesdays (2nd-7th):
Our Tuesday midweek program will take place on Zoom from 4:30-5:30 PM and will include thirty minutes of individualized, small group Hebrew instruction and thirty minutes of project-based learning inspired by the interests of the students, as well as community building and connection time.
Wednesdays (2nd-7th):
Our Wednesday program is in person at Shaare Torah and will include two, forty-minute blocks for group Hebrew instruction and chuggim (electives), as well as time for community building activities.
On Wednesdays, you can sign up for one of the following time slots:
*Please remember that 2nd grade begins our midweek program in January and 7th grade joins us midweek through December.
Tuition:
Tuition will be the same for the Tuesday virtual and Wednesday in-person options. While the timing is different, we are offering the best quality Jewish educational experiences for those formats. We are also excited to offer many new family engagement programs outside of school hours this year.
Finances should never be a barrier to participation in our Jewish community. All are welcome! On the registration form, you will find a section where you can request financial aid. During your first year at Shaare Torah Community Religious School, you do not need to be members of the synagogue. After the first year, we do require membership.
