Kabbalah--Jewish mysticism--offers a number of transformative teachings and techniques aimed to relax the body, calm the mind, revitalize the soul, and connect to the Source. Join Rabbi Benjamin Shalva for an engaging and embodied exploration of this mystical tradition. Participants will become familiar with key Kabbalistic ideas and will discover, through integrated Yogic and Meditation practices, the benefits of melding these ancient traditions.

No prior knowledge of Kabbalah, Yoga, or Meditation necessary.  All beginners welcome.  Please wear comfortable clothing for movement and stretching.

Cost:  $25 total for 3 sessions (also fine to attend 1 or 2 sessions)

Rabbi Shalva's Bio:

As a writer, rabbi, meditation teacher, and yoga instructor, Rabbi Benjamin Shalva leads seminars around the world in Spiritual Cross-Training, Kabbalah Yoga, Jewish Meditation, and Mindfulness Meditation. He received his rabbinical ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City and his yoga teacher certification from the Yogic Physical Culture Academy in Los Cabos, Mexico. Rabbi Shalva serves on the faculty at the Jewish Mindfulness Center of Washington, leads musical prayer services for the 6th & I Historic Synagogue and Bet Mishpachah in Washington, DC, and serves as the camp rabbi for Tamarack Camps in Detroit, Michigan. His writings have been published in numerous publications including the Washington Post, Success Magazine, and Spirituality & Health Magazine and he is the author of two books -- Spiritual Cross-Training: Searching through Silence, Stretch, and Song and Ambition Addiction: How to Go Slow, Give Thanks, and Discover Joy Within. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he lives in Reston, Virginia, with his wife, Sara, and their two children.

Note below:  $25 fee is total for up to 3 classes.  $25 is per participant.
