4th Annual STECC Chik Chak Shabbat International Potluck Picnic

Please RSVP for the 4th Annual STECC Chik Chak Shabbat international potluck picnic on Saturday, May 16th at 5-7pm. We will gather in the APR for a global Shabbat Sing then go outside to the Shaare Torah lawn for a potluck picnic Seudah Shlishit* and field games. Please bring a dish to share from your family’s heritage that is dairy or pareve and nut free.
We are so blessed in our school to have such diverse cultures, including, but not limited to: Israeli, Persian/Iranian, Ghanaian, British, English, Scottish, Chinese, African American, Italian, Russian, Cuban, Moroccan, Dominican, Salvadorian, Palestinian, Venezuelan, Indian, Korean, Dutch, Bermudian, and too many types of European to count! We want to celebrate our school’s diversity, close-knit community, and shared values at our 4th annual STECC Chik Chak Shabbat!
*Seudah Shlishit (“Third Meal”) is the third obligatory meal eaten on Shabbat afternoon, typically before sunset, to honor the day. It is often a light, dairy, or pareve meal—such as tuna, salads, or fish—enjoyed between Mincha (the afternoon prayer service) and Maariv (the evening prayer service), featuring songs (z’mirot) and sometimes bread or challah, though some customs omit bread.
