Shabbat Services at Shaare Torah

During Friday evening and Saturday morning Shabbat services, Shaare Torah comes together as a congregation to welcome and celebrate Shabbat.

Friday evening services are held at 6pm or 7:45 pm. Please check calendar/announcements for times for specific Fridays. Saturday morning services are held at 9:30am. Both are held at Shaare Torah, 1409 Main Street (the Kentlands), in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Directions

  1. From I-270 take exit 6B, Route 28 West/West Montgomery Avenue.
  2. Proceed approximately 5 miles following signs for Route 28 West (West Montgomery Avenue becomes Key West Avenue and then Darnestown Road).
  3. Pass the light at Muddy Branch Road.
  4. Make a right at the next light onto Main Street.
  5. Follow Main Street until the synagogue on your left. Parking is across the street at the Lakelands Park.
  6. Cross at the crosswalk.
Call our Message Line (301 869-9842) for more information.

We offer a traditional service in a warm, relaxed, and informal setting. Through our services we teach Jewish traditions and their meanings. Each service includes a story and songs. Children as well as adults are welcome to participate in all aspects of the service.

Our Friday night service is followed by an Oneg Shabbat and our Saturday service is followed by a kiddush. Both give us the opportunity to socialize and enjoy each other's company.

We look forward to being with you on Shabbat at Shaare Torah !
