Policies

In an effort to foster a learning environment that stresses mutual respect, we are providing a written policy for the classroom management and discipline procedures we use.

Our goal is for all students to be actively involved in all manner of Jewish learning and behaving appropriately. We must work together as a school community. Each teacher is not only responsible for seeing that the rules are kept in the classroom, but also throughout the school. Teachers are expected to
spend some time in the beginning of the year with the students creating a set of rules for the classroom, which are to be posted in the room.

Teachers may institute their own methods of positive reinforcement and classroom management in their own classes. Students should acknowledge and understand the basic school-wide rules (listed below), remember them and be able to identify which they did not follow at any given time. Parents should understand the rules, help their children understand them, and support teachers in their efforts to create the best learning environment for all our children.
