Admission, Registration and Tuition Processes

Admission, Registration & Tuition Process
Shaare Torah Nursery School does not discriminate by race, religion, national origin or gender in its admission policies.

For the 2009-2010 school year, programming is available for two, three and four year olds. Children must be two by September 1st, with the exception of the children enrolled in the Mommy and Me and Torah Tots (transitional two year old) programs.

Members of Shaare Torah congregation receive priority within a designated registration period for all our programs. A non-refundable application fee and a tuition deposit are required at the time of registration. Upon acceptance to our program, the tuition deposit cannot be refunded and an additional non-refundable tuition payment will be required to hold your child’s place in our program.

Tuition is based on a 9 ½ month school year, beginning in September and ending in mid-June. If two children in the same family are registered, there is a 10 percent reduction in tuition for the second child. This reduction will be reflected on your June bill.

All synagogue and school financial obligations must be kept current in order for:

  • Your child to enter school in the Fall.
  • Continuation in our program throughout the school year.
  • Applications for the next school year to be processed.
  • Transcripts to be completed and forwarded to other schools.

You will be sent a statement for the remaining school balance in July. Half will be due by July 31st and the remaining half in December. To keep your account current, please make your payments according to the fee and payment schedule provided by our accounting department. Payments for all auxiliary programs (Enrichment, etc.) are due upon enrolling in those programs.
