USY

USY stands for United Synagogue Youth, which is the Conservative Jewish Youth Group for kids in grades 9-12. Our local USY chapter, STUSY, includes 8th-12th graders. For regional USY events, 9th-12th graders are included, and 8th graders attend regional Kadima events. As the high school affiliate of The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is comprised of 17 regions with over 400 local chapters. Along with its pre-teen affiliate, it includes 25,000 members throughout the United States and Canada. This year marks the 90th anniversary of the United Synagogue, founded in 1913 by Dr. Solomon Schechter.
