Great Volunteer Opportunity: Director of Communications for Social Action Committee
The Social Action Committee is looking for a person who would like to contribute their talents to help in the following ways:
a) Publicizing the Social Action Committee's projects and volunteer opportunities;
b) Submitting articles into the local press about our successful projects (such as Jewish Week, Gazette, Kentlands/Lakelands community paper etc.). This is a great way for the Social Action Committee and Shaare Torah to let the world know what we are doing, and has many positive consequences, including attracting new members to our synagogue;
c) Writing articles for submission to the Shaare Torah Scroll (articles submitted on a bi-monthly basis); and
d) Generating new ideas to better communicate the mission and work of the Social Action Committee to our synagogue members and our local community.
